The Total Tragedy of a Girl Named Hamlet

The Total Tragedy of a Girl Named Hamlet by Erin Dionne has 290 pages. It is definitely a tragedy. Hamlet Kennedy is starting eighth grade..............with her seven year old genius sister, Desdemona or Dezzie. Dezzie is almost ready for college she just needed one more course. The way things are going so far:
-Hamlet has a secret admirer making her oragami pigs
-Shes flunking pre-al
-Her sister is more popular than she is
-Hamlet has an unwanted Shakespeare talent
-She has to go to the counseler
- Her parents are coming to her english class in full on Elizabethan attire to embarass her
-Saber and Mauri are using Dezzie
-Things are awkward between her and her bff Ty
-Her parents have completely forgotten about her
If these are the highlights she's in big trouble! Will Hamlet ever figure out who is sending her the pigs?
-K.C.
-Ty
-Carter
Will eighth grade ever be normal for Hamlet?

22 Days Left....

Suprising enough we only have 22 days left as Gaters. As i sadly bring you this news it is also a new beginning. Even though it is incredibly sad to leave Room 14 we are all going to have a good experience in middle school.(i hope) Wow! This year literally flew by, i can still remember parts of the first day of school. I am really going tp miss Manchester, i wish i could stay. The good thing is that i think i will remember this class and experience for a long time. We have done so many incredible things this year, we truly are lucky to have had Ms. Ullner. If i was given the option to redo 6th i wouldn't have because this year was so fabulous. I have made so many friends that i get to take to Computech with me! (yay ps. credit to Ms. U) I just love this school year! Wow now i know why people always say 6th grade is the best year. All 34 of us will come out of Room 14 being fully prepared for the future. (credit to Ms.U) Am i the only one in disbelief? The only good part about the end of the year is Wild Waters and Promotion Day. Other than that this is the last of our Manchester careers. If you are now crying with these sad thoughts about leaving then please share something profound in the comment area. Thank you Ms. Ullner for giving me the best school year EVER!

Weekend

Saturday
On Saturday my family and I went to my Aunt Sherry's college graduation. Prior to her graduation she had her bachelors in Arts. Now she also has her masters in education. She is currently the principal of Fipps Primary in Riverdale. One day she hopes to become the Superintendent. The actual graduation was an interestin experience. When her name was called we clapped really loud and a lot of people followed suit. After it was over we went out to dinner.

Sunday
On Sunday morning my sisters and i made my mother a cheddar, chive, and egg ccasserole. On the side i made bacon and tater tots. She really appreciated eveything, and she really like the poem i made for her. Im glad i have such a good mom.
Happy Mothers Day!
